Dr Nirav Bhatt

After having graduated from University of Cambridge and University College London Medical Schools, Dr Bhatt completed his foundation training in London and subsequently went on to complete his Radiology training in the East of England. During his final year of training, Dr Bhatt undertook a fellowship in Head and Neck Radiology at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital in London before taking up a consultant job in Bedfordshire Hospitals in 2021.

As lead Head and Neck Radiologist, Dr Bhatt has drawn upon his experience from his fellowship to optimise local scanning protocols for cross sectional imaging. He has helped to set up weekly rapid access head and neck lump clinic services at Luton Hospital, and a twice a month neck lump clinic at Bedfordshire Hospital, which have helped to limit delay between diagnosis of cancer and treatment. Dr Bhatt also helps to coordinate a quarterly educational benign head and neck multidisciplinary team meeting. Beside head and neck imaging, Dr Bhatt has a wealth of experience in reporting of general radiology and in performing general ultrasound scans.

Dr Bhatt has supported his medical and surgical colleagues in the private sector since 2022.

Outside of work, Dr Bhatt enjoys running, playing sports and hiking.
