Dr David Foldes

Dr David Foldes is a highly experienced Consultant Haematologist and Haemato-Oncologist with specialist expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of blood disorders. His areas of focus include anaemia, abnormal blood counts, thrombosis, and blood cancers such as myeloproliferative disorders, lymphoma, and myeloma.

Dr Foldes is known for his clear and compassionate communication style, ensuring patients are empowered with a thorough understanding of their test results, diagnosis, and treatment options. His commitment to patient education and shared decision-making is central to his approach.

He qualified from King’s College London in 2012 and completed his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine across North London. He went on to undertake specialty training in Haematology at Imperial College Healthcare, gaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists (Haematology) in 2021.

Before his current consultant role, Dr Foldes served as a Senior Clinical Research Fellow at Imperial College Healthcare, where he was an investigator on a broad portfolio of haemato-oncology trials. He has a strong academic interest in novel therapeutics, including immune, cell, and gene therapies, and is committed to their integration into routine clinical care.

Dr Foldes currently practices at Northwick Park Hospital, where he treats patients with blood cancers and serves as Clinical Lead for the Thrombosis Service. He brings deep clinical insight and a forward-thinking approach to patient care at Chase Lodge Hospital.
